Energy Analyst
This is a hybrid working role – 3 days in Nelson and 2 days working from home.
Basic Salary ranges from £24,000 up to £34,000 depending on experience plus quarterly bonus, annual training budget, pension, 33 days holidays, and regular pay performance reviews.
Due to continued success, my client is seeking an Energy Analyst ideally with experience in the energy management solutions industry.
You will be joining an established team and supporting the wider senior management team, demonstrating an elevated level of IT literacy with the ability to manipulate, analyse, and present data, as well as explaining data analysis effectively and presenting reports to colleagues both on paper and in person.
As an Energy Analyst, you will have experience in data quality management within a working context, working logically within set procedures and regulations, with the ability to set your own objectives, review progress, work within timescales, and determine priorities to see tasks through to a successful outcome.
As an Energy Analyst, you will work as part of a team with excellent communication skills to discuss and agree on project scope, deliverables, and timelines, along with strong analysis skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions.
Candidate Skills & Duties
1. Ideally degree educated in a related subject or qualified by experience.
2. Have strong diligence with the ability to implement checks and measures to ensure the quality and integrity of data.
3. Responsible for completing desktop audits, reviewing their results for data errors, and periodically reviewing energy insights data, raising any issues with the energy managers and providing any requested data and administration for services.
4. First point of contact for the field team for any data requests or quick, bespoke analysis.
5. Responsible for manning the energy control centre and reviewing the systems alarms, able to screen clients identified by the business generation team for various services such as CCA, Min/Met, SECR, etc.
6. Responsible for the data provision and management of ongoing reporting for clients’ various legislative requirements including efficiency projects, load shifting, and storage.
7. Support in the delivery of feasibility studies and the creation of digital twins for various clients.
8. Collaborate with the sales team on business development, acting as a point of reference for EMT services.
9. Liaise with customers and account managers to obtain site-specific data such as production, occupancy, operational times, etc., to support the delivery of energy management in line with the service ecosite management system for service contracts.
10. Collect and screen data for carbon reporting.
11. Undertake triage of data alerts for the energy control centre and raise relevant alerts to the energy manager and customer.
12. Provision of automatic reports for energy usage patterns to support the audit team in identifying energy and carbon reductions.
