Procurement/ Commercial Manager for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland.\n\nResponsibilities.\n\nResponsible for providing a comprehensive procurement service.\nLeading the preparation of the invitation to tender documentation co-ordinating inputs from the wider project team and external consultants, including appropriate contract terms and conditions and Employer's Requirements.\nLeading the evaluation of commercial element of bids and co-ordinating inputs from the wider evaluation team to inform down selection and appointment of the Preferred Bidder including managing cost normalisation to accurately compare offers.\nLeading the negotiation of the commercial terms with bidders and preferred supplier to the point of FID and Contract Award in accordance with an agreed mandate.\nDelivering the Supply Contract in accordance with the project program to support participation in the CfD auction and internal approval processes.\nWriting Down-selection, Preferred Bidder and Contract Award Recommendations which will seek approval from the Project Director / Shareholders and the Project Board to award contracts.\nManage Contractor applications for payment as required, liaising with Package/Project Managers to ensure payment obligations are being met.\nContribute to commercial risk assessment and actively contribute to risk mitigation.\nPrepare and update CAPEX and OPEX Costing for assigned contracts.\nSupport Project Controls team with monitoring and reporting budgets and forecasting.\nPrepare commercial inputs to monthly progress reports. \n\nRequirements\n\nMinimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in offshore wind procurement, ideally focused on the Electrical System package.\nMarket knowledge of Offshore Electrical Systems contractors.\nStrong understanding of systems for offshore wind developments.\nExperience of floating wind projects is desirable.\nExcellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nProven experience in complex construction contract negotiations.\nAbility to manage complex contracts and multiple stakeholders.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and commercial acumen.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.\nAbility to lead multidisciplinary workshops with technical, commercial and legal experts
