About the role:
An exciting new opportunity has come up to join my client based in the Teesside area. They are looking for an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join their Assessment team. This team works with children and young people who are currently in their care. We are looking for people who are keen for a new challenge and want to take the next step up to grow together!
As the Social Worker you will:
As a Social Worker in the Assessment Service, you will carry out proportionate assessments and share your expert advice with your manager, as to whether risks have been managed and the child no longer needs a Social Worker or whether they can be stepped down to Early Help or other partner agencies.
You will work closely with the MACH to ensure timely and appropriate responses are completed to meet the needs of children and their families. You will have the support of the Early Help offer and ‘Stronger Families’ Teams who we work closely with for step ups and step downs, making sure families receive the right support, at the right level, at the right time. You would be part of supporting improvement plans, ensuring quality of practice and direct work, and building strong relationships with children, families and the partner agencies.
Essential requirements:
* Experience of working within a variety of teams within children’s services ideally cared for teams
* Proven track record of statutory social work experience
* Sound and robust legal framework knowledge
* SWE registered.
* Full UK driver’s license
* Right to work in the UK
