About the team… The Bracknell Adult Community Mental Health Team is a joint initiative, managed and funded by Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Bracknell Forest Council. Our dedicated team provides vital support to adults experiencing significant mental illness, as well as their carers. We offer a range of interventions, including medication management and psychological therapies, all while coordinating comprehensive, person-centred care within the community. The team also fulfils statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Care Act 2014. Key responsibilities To assist the Service Manager with agreed delegated responsibilities, in order to contribute to the provision of a community mental health service for adults. To provide professional supervision and guidance to staff as well as recruitment, training, appraisal and where appropriate performance management. To ensure that arrangements for support are cost-effective before they are submitted for approval and that staff understand their responsibilities in relation to financial management. To take responsibility for safeguarding investigations and in addition to act as the decision maker. To manage complaints where required and verify assessments and authorise when appropriate.
