COMMUNITY PAEDIATRIC SPECIALIST GRADE DOCTOR

Contract: Substantive
Hours: 8 Programmed Activities (PAs) post with 6 Direct Clinical Contact activities (DCC) and 2 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs).
Location: Gifford House, Thurrock Community Hospital, Long Lane, Grays, RM16 2PX
Qualifications needed:
* Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
* Mastery in the management of a broad range of physical health conditions in babies, children, and young people, including neurodevelopmental disorders
* At least 4 years post graduate training including 2 years community paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences).
* Knowledge and training in Child safeguarding
* Valid Level 3 Safeguarding Training.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
You will be expected to:
* Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to babies, children and young people across South West Essex
* Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
* Work directly with babies, children and young people, and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals
* Participate in the local Child Protection rota
* Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work with their own initiative
* Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
