Here at EMIS, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Product Owner to join our highly capable and talented Community Pharmacy product team on a permanent basis.
Responsible for products in over 5,200 pharmacies, we are looking for a Lead Product Owner to deliver and maintain high quality products in our growing Community Pharmacy product portfolio.
As a Lead PO you will be responsible for product backlogs focused on delivering our strategic goals, plus line management and mentoring of Product Owners.

This Lead PO position is remote working, however our product team meet monthly for collaborative sessions.
What you’ll do
As a Lead PO, we would look to you to line manage other Product Owners within the Community Pharmacy product space including guidance, mentoring and aligning to agile ways of working. You will work closely with other Lead and Principal Product Owners to embed a culture of quality and standardisation across the product owner community.
Owning the product backlog, you will create actionable user stories ensuring clear requirements and acceptance criteria are defined. Experienced with agile product methodologies, you will drive cross-functional collaboration to improve ways of working and outcomes.
Other key responsibilities:
* Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-organised, prioritised, and contains detailed and actionable user stories.
* Lead, mentor & coach PO team members to drive continuous improvement and delivery.
* Active leader in agile processes, iteration planning, retrospectives, refinement, reviews, demos, meetings & daily stand-ups.
* Work across the product owner community settings and implementing standards.
* Lead on continuous improvement by gathering feedback from stakeholders, analysing product performance, and identifying opportunities for enhancements.
* Define and implement agile development principles, work collaboratively to define features, sequenced and delivered in a way that will deliver optimal customer and business value.
Who you’ll be
We need you to be an experienced leader or mentor within product ownership with a passion for implementing and embedding quality standards in product process. Having delivered success in an agile environment; you will be highly experienced in maintaining and prioritising product backlogs, writing clear data user stories and defining data acceptance criteria.
As a Lead PO you will have had previous experience in delivering technology products and create and drive the vision of the product. Working closely with development teams previously, you will have experience of interpreting functional specifications into technical requirements.
Technical skills we are looking for you to demonstrate include;
* Experience with digital products and liaising closely with technologists.
* Experience of defining and implementing processes and measures of quality across a complex organisation.
* A demonstrable track record of creating successful, high-quality products and services.
* Knowledge and experience of working in Agile and/or SAFe
* Outstanding relationship building and people skills, with the ability to present sometimes complex problems in a clear and concise way.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality product delivery.
* Knowledge and awareness of the use of healthcare or Community Pharmacy products would be desirable.
