Description of what the apprentice will do in their role:
As a Business Administrator at Harlow Bros Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team and facilitating smooth communication between the sales department and manufacturing teams. You will be responsible for handling customer orders, processing sales documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
1. Order Processing:
Receive and process customer orders, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
Liaise with the manufacturing team to confirm product availability and delivery schedules.
Track order progress, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Maintain order and delivery schedules in the internal system, updating customers on order status as needed.
2. Sales Support:
Assist with quoting, preparing sales proposals, and responding to customer inquiries.
Generate sales reports, including sales forecasts, order volumes, and delivery timelines.
Coordinate between the sales and manufacturing departments to ensure that product specifications are met.
3. Customer Liaison:
Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding order status, product availability, and delivery schedules.
Address customer complaints or issues with orders and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure customers are informed of any potential delays or issues related to their orders.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain up-to-date records of all sales transactions, orders, and communications with customers.
Generate regular reports for management, providing insights into sales performance, product inventory, and delivery metrics.
Ensure all sales documentation (quotes, orders, invoices) is filed and easily accessible.
Comprehensive Business Administrator and Customer Service Training:
During your Standard Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship programme, you will receive training both off and on the job. You will be trained at the employer within the workplace and also through WEBS Training on an in-house basis.
You will learn the underpinning knowledge that runs alongside your practical elements of the training. WEBS Training aims to build on the skills you already have so you reach your full potential both personally and professionally.
Training will be provided in all areas of Business Administrator and Customer Service to ensure you can create practical and bespoke furniture using both traditional and modern techniques and materials to produce aesthetically pleasing and fit for purpose products.
If you have already achieved GCSE maths and English at Grade 4/C or above or have equivalent qualifications, you will be exempt from undertaking Functional Skills; however, English and maths support will be provided for all apprentices throughout the length of their programme.
