Role Type Permanent What you'll be doing: Join Our Team at Avon Are you a skilled legal professional looking to make an impact in a dynamic and innovative environment? We are seeking a Legal Advisor to provide expert, pragmatic legal guidance to various stakeholders across our UK business. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of our commercial needs while ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks. Key responsibilities: Contract Review and Drafting: Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of UK contracts, including services agreements, marketing contracts, NDAs, and supplier terms and conditions. Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research in areas such as contract, corporate, commercial, and employment law to support business needs. Training and Education: Collaborate with teams across the organization to develop and deliver training sessions and materials. Compliance: Monitor legislative changes and advise stakeholders on compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks and provide actionable recommendations to protect the company’s interests. Commercial Marketing: Advise on advertising, trading standards, consumer protection, and antitrust issues. Review promotional materials for legal compliance. Dispute Resolution: Manage legal disputes and insurance claims, liaising with external counsel and preparing documentation for proceedings. Digital Integration: Support the development of digital platforms by advising on legal matters related to technology integration. Employment Matters: Provide guidance on settlement agreements, employee relations, tribunals, and TUPE queries. Company Secretarial: Coordinate corporate and company secretarial matters, including due diligence and company filings. Qualifications: Qualified lawyer, experienced Paralegal, or Legal Executive in England and Wales. Experience in commercial, digital, and data privacy matters; in-house experience in FMCG or cosmetics is preferred. Familiarity with employment and company secretarial work is a plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong ability to coordinate across business functions and understand diverse needs. Sound commercial awareness with the capability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice. Excellent communication skills, able to build trust and develop professional relationships with stakeholders. Proven ability to manage complex legal issues while balancing multiple priorities. High level of discretion with confidential matters and the ability to work under pressure. Enthusiastic team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
