Job summary To provide effective administration that is critically important to the Trust and patients. The endoscopy administrator will work as part of a team in providing effective clerical and administration support to the endoscopy department. To ensure that appointments and patient information is sent out to patients in a timely manner, in accordance with the waiting list policy and departmental procedures. Successful Candidate will be required to work at Royal Hampshire County Hospital and provide cross-site cover when necessary. Main duties of the job To ensure that all referrals are booked according to the pre-admission date and that all the information needed for each specific procedure is sent out to the patient in a timely manner.o To answer the telephone politely and to give the correct information to patients as requested.o To provide ward clerking duties as needed.o To provide administrative duties for the Nurse endoscopists as required.o To ensure communication at all levels is of a high standard in ensuring that patients, staff and colleagues receive and fully understand what is being communicated.
