Key Responsibilities:
Prioritise the wellbeing and development of your team
Effective communication with engineers, supervisors, enabling functions, designers, and client representatives
Support and encourage the development of your engineering team, contributing to annual goals
Write and/or review Temporary Works Design Briefs for TWC acceptance
Ensure delivery teams understand and work to the latest design
Produce and update whole life programmes, resource loading them to control interfaces and continuity
Review and approve CL31 and CL32 programmes from the supply chain
Understand, challenge, and contribute to project CL32 programmes
Review supply chain payment applications for your package
Understand and challenge design specifications and drawings where relevant
Ensure quality records are captured and correctly stored using the Common Data Environment
Set and maintain clear health and safety expectations with your team and suppliers
Set and maintain clear environmental management expectations with your team and suppliers
Job Requirements:
Degree-level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject, or HND in Civil Engineering with vocational training
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies
Knowledge of temporary works processes, design, and management
Understanding of construction contracts, ideally ECC NEC4
Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng) or willingness to work towards it
Digital competence in MS Office 365, document control systems, and site digital tools
Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS)
CSCS Card
Experience in delivering major highways schemes
