As a Post Office Counter Clerk, you’ll be responsible for dealing with postal and financial services, dealing with forms and applications, and handling foreign currencies. This involves the correct and accurate handling of monies and the use of computer systems.
As a valued member of our Post Office team, you will receive full counter training, plus ongoing training and support.
Operational hours:
Monday – Friday – 09:00am – 17:30pm
Saturday - 09:00am – 13:00pm – *Subject to Location*
As a Post Office Counter Clerk, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Providing excellent customer service.
2. Completing and undertaking regular compliance checks.
3. Following all policies, procedures, and cash management.
4. Keeping all areas clean, tidy, and adhering to all safety/security policies.
5. Ensuring punctuality and personal appearance standards are in line with the Society’s Uniform policy.
6. Dealing with customer complaints professionally and processing them in line with the Society’s complaints procedure.
7. Ensuring that all records are up to date, managing high volume posting activity, and communicating with multiple clients and vendors.
*Please note, successful candidates will be subject to a P250 (Credit Check)

2. Ability to listen, interact, and communicate with different stakeholders.
3. Confident and a friendly, approachable nature.
4. Cash handling experience is desirable.
