Job Requisition Number 6421 Work Type Permanent Job Function Operational Salary Range £29,285.00 -£33,277.00 Base Cynon Closing Date 23:59 on 03/11/2024 What you’ll be responsible for As an Electrician you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing equipment as part of the main MEI teams, working individually or as part of a team. Able to fault-find, rectify problems with electrical systems and all ancillary equipment. This Will Include Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems generally. Demonstrating an ability to read, understand and work from electrical drawings. Maintaining, repairing and installing mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment to ensure performance of all assets. Actively taking part in Risk Assessment, COSHH assessment and all related Health and Safety issues. Identifying problematic plant and the subsequent faults and taking part in finding efficient solutions to return equipment to working order. Identifying requirements of spares and materials using preferred suppliers. Completing all job cards and timesheets to allow for monitoring of workload, performance etc. Providing knowledge, information and onsite support for Welsh Water capital teams and operational teams. Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business. Who you’ll work with Internal Operations, Distribution, H&S Day to day liaison with operational staff Welsh Water Contract Partners – Delivery operational staff where appropriate External Contract Operators About You Knowledge, Skills & Experience Fully qualified Electrician who has completed a recognised apprenticeship in an industrial environment Experience of working with pumps and variable speed drives Compliance with current standards and legislation i.e. BS7671: 2018, 18th Edition IET regulations Knowledge of industrial processes and of fixed and variable speed motor control.
