Working as a member of the Digital Product Management Team you will meaningfully contribute to the delivery of Boots’ Digital Transformation agenda. Putting the customer at the heart of all we do and with a focus on value delivery, you will shape and deliver the digital product vision, roadmap and subsequent development across our digital channels. The Basket & Checkout Product Manager owns their product from creation and throughout the product lifecycle. They represent the ‘voice of the customer’ through the lifecycle by bringing knowledge of the Product’s vision, domain and users. Monitoring its performance and development, they promote the delivery of maximum value. The Digital team is at the forefront of an important platform migration effort, which is a cornerstone of the broader Digital Transformation programme. A critical component of your work will involve providing comprehensive product support throughout the duration of this program, ensuring seamless transition and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership: Define, develop, and manage the roadmap for Basket & Checkout, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Customer Experience: Champion a smooth, secure, and optimised checkout experience that drives conversion and reduces cart abandonment. Payments & Fraud Strategy: Work with our teams and third-party providers to optimise payment acceptance, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement fraud prevention strategies. Data-Driven Decision-making: Continuously analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as checkout completion rates, payment success rates, and fraud detection efficacy to lead improvements. Collaboration: Partner with UX, Optimisation, Engineering, and Security teams to enhance checkout flows and integrate new technologies. Partner Management: Clearly communicate product updates, roadmaps, and insights to senior partners, influencing decisions through data and user insights. Market & Industry Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor benchmarks, and evolving regulatory requirements to inform strategic decisions. ·Agile & Continuous Improvement: Drive agile ways of working, iterating on solutions based on customer feedback and business needs. What you’ll need to have Proven experience in digital product management with a focus on Basket, Checkout, Payment and Fraud. Strong knowledge of ecommerce payments, including payment gateway integrations, fraud detection, and regulatory compliance. Experience optimising checkout and payment experiences to drive conversions and minimise customer friction. Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse market and industry trends to inform product roadmaps and identify innovations that meet customer needs. Data-Driven: Vigilantly tracking and interpreting key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to oversee and enhance product performance throughout its lifecycle. User Experience (UX): Understanding of UX to ensure the product meets user needs and provides a positive experience. Communication: Communicates Product updates, successes, and value with relevant partners. Relationship Building: Builds relationships with important colleagues including User Experience, Optimisation, Programme Management, IT, and others, in support of the successful delivery of products. Business Acumen: Grasp market trends and incorporating customer feedback to align products with business goals and user expectations. Market and Industry Analysis: Using external and internal insights to inform the product roadmap and identify customer needs. Roadmap Management: Manages development of Product Roadmaps within area of ownership, ensuring consideration for customer, business, and technology needs. Strategic Data Analysis: Employing a deep analysis of KPIs to inform and shape strategic decision-making, ensuring that product development aligns with the organization’s data-driven approach. Advocacy: Actively promotes the team and acts as an advocate of the Product discipline within the organisation. It would be great if you also have Knowledge of ecommerce technologies, platforms, and payment providers. Experience working with fraud detection tools and methodologies. You demonstrate great attention to detail, while keeping sight of the bigger picture. Proactive, independent and self-starting, you are adept at building and maintaining relationships with a wide range of stakeholders You understand technical aspects of product development, working closely with IT colleagues Familiar with digital development approaches and agile delivery principles, ideally in a scaled agile (SAFe) environment A passionate Product Professional, you will apply the discipline’s best practices and share your knowledge and experience with your team-mates. A familiarity with pharmacy and healthcare, as well as an understanding of available technology.
