In this role, the successful candidate will lead a diverse team of Facilities Managers, Shopping Centre Managers, and their direct reports, to deliver exceptional service to clients and tenants.

Role Overview:
The Head of Facilities Management will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of all facilities management services across our diverse property portfolio. The role requires an individual who can inspire a culture of service excellence, client-centricity and alignment with our company values.
As a Board Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the Company operates with integrity, sustainability and success, by steering its strategic direction. You will provide leadership and guidance to the whole business, including the Board of Directors, whilst playing a key role in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to manage or mitigate them.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor and develop the Facilities Management team, offering guidance and support to maintain high operational standards and foster continuous improvement.
* Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and industry-leading service delivery.
* Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations, actively mitigating risks and ensuring compliance at all times.
* Act as a central point of escalation for complex issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
* Offer expert advice on property and public liability claims, including guidance on the associated reporting processes.
* Continuously review and enhance facilities management processes and procedures to ensure they remain effective and aligned with industry best practice.
* Champion strategic initiatives and key business activities, including ESG, Design for Management, and Flexible Workspace Projects.
* Identify and drive new business opportunities, staying ahead of industry trends and new regulations.
* Oversee the efficient mobilisation of properties, ensuring compliance and maintaining high performance standards during transitions.
* Effectively manage and review Facilities Management team budgets, optimising resources, maximising recovery, and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
* Monitor financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
* Lead procurement strategies, ensuring that facilities-related contracts and services are competitively priced and have well-defined service level agreements (SLAs).
* Provide regular updates and reports to the Board Members on the performance of facilities operations and key projects.
* Champion a client-first mindset, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strong client engagement.
* Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and regular engagement.
* Play an active role in evolving, promoting and delivering the company's strategic objectives.
Key Skills & Competencies:
* Proven leadership experience, with a passion for developing talent and creating high-performing teams.
* Strong background in facilities management, with a balanced approach of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, including asbestos management, legionella control, and statutory compliance.
* Extensive experience in contract management, with a deep understanding of the full lifecycle.
* Skilled in driving change, continuously reviewing and improving processes, and motivating teams to achieve their potential.
* Excellent communicator, adept at influencing senior leaders and engaging external stakeholders.
* Strong planning and prioritisation abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks and demands effectively in a dynamic environment.
