Job Title: Sales Assistant
Based in our Bathgate shops, we are looking for a new member of staff to join our small team. Previous retail experience is essential in this role.
Job Purpose:
Assist the manager in all aspects of HomeAid’s retail outlets.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist in overseeing the efficient operations of the shop.
2. Comply with safe working practices in accordance with Health & Safety.
3. Contribute to the selling and marketing in the shop, including taking phone calls.
4. Assist in reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the services.
5. Assist in moving, cleaning, handling, and effectively displaying all items of furniture.
6. Perform any other duties required by the Shop Manager.
Conditions of Service:
Salary: Real Living Wage
Hours: 25 hrs a week, 9.00am-2.00pm or 9.30am-2.30pm
Contract: Permanent with a 3-month trial period
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days inclusive of public holidays
Criteria: Must have previous retail experience, excellent customer service skills, and be computer literate. Full training on our till systems will be provided.
