The Role:
* Liaising with the head office to implement HR policies & strategies; dealing with employee relations.
* Legal compliance and corporate risk issues.
* Managing employee relation issues, disciplinary procedures, and issuing relevant documentation.
* Playing a key role in maintaining line management awareness of policy changes.
* Managing basic payroll and working with an external payroll accountant.
* Overseeing all aspects of talent and succession planning.
* Delivering advice and guidance on HR matters, including onboarding, contract termination, redundancy, sick leave, and maternity leave.
* Updating records and organizing training required for staff development.
* Working with Health & Safety Consultant to promote Health & Safety rules.
* Promoting equality and diversity in support of culture change.
* Collaborating with external consultants to provide effective Health & Safety management.
The Ideal Candidate:
* CIPD qualification (preferred but not essential) or studying for an HR-related or business management degree.
* Fluency in English, both verbal and written; proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese is preferable as this role requires communication with HQ in China.
* Previous UK-based experience in similar roles within logistics is preferred but not essential.
* Experience with onboarding, creating HR documentation, and managing basic payroll, risk, and compliance issues is preferred but not essential.
Working Time: Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:30, flexibility required.
Location: Currently in Cannock but will move to Lichfield in the future.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £2,600.00 to £2,800.00 (per year)
