Dorset HealthCare are looking for a qualified nurse to join our Integrated Urgent Care Service as part of our supportive Community Night Nursing team!
You will be joining a fantastic team who form part of the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service that is made up of a Multi disciplinary team of Nurses, Paramedics and GP's. You will deliver face to face nursing care to adults who have been referred to the team.
We will be looking for you to provide autonomous nursing care with an HCA so you are always part of a supportive and collaborative unit. Our service comes equipped with three lease cars which are used during shift covering the whole of Dorset, driving is share in your pairing. The vehicles are stocked with essential nursing equipment, which may be required when visiting including catheters, wound dressings, palliative care stock.
This is a permanent position. The post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service including evenings and night working.
Be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the practitioner’s professional activities.
Being part of the Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service mobile team, being responsible for direct care of patients in their own homes, includes supporting patients requiring Palliative care.
Support the team with managerial/clerical duties within the St Leonards hub as required, which includes telephone duties.
Ensure that medical instructions are understood, adhered to and recorded.
Respect and care for patients property and ensure the economical use of nursing equipment.
To ensure that all equipment provided is maintained in good order.
Able to undertake personal development reviews for junior staff.
