Job overview
We are looking to add to our great catering team at our Woodlands Hospital. The role will be 12 hours per week based over Saturday and Sunday.
The successful candidate will be a great team player, capable of helping the team continue in delivering a fantastic food service to our service users within the unit. They will be a great communicator and have the ability to think on their feet.
Candidates will be expected to have or to be able to gain at least a level 2 food hygiene certificate.
The role will include basic kitchen and cooking duties.
Main duties of the job
Job Summary/Purpose:
1. To provide a customer-focused service.
2. Preparation of salads and cold food items.
3. To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of hygiene management.
4. To adhere to safe working practices in all aspects of risk management and security.
5. Carry out general and specialised cleaning tasks in accordance with Trust procedures.
6. Undertake mandatory training in COSHH, HACCP and comply with all Trust policies relevant to the post, particularly with regard to the food hygiene policy.
7. The loading of cold boxes and assembly of snack packs.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
* Some experience of working in a catering environment.
* Experience in working with other people.
* Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
* Previous knowledge of food allergens.
* Current DBS.
Knowledge
* Excellent standard of personal hygiene.
* Flexible approach to working environments.
