Our client, a reputable academy based in Cambridge, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher (SEN) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs, helping them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
* Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment that fosters confidence and independence.
* Differentiate learning activities to ensure accessibility for all pupils.
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress.
* Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social development through structured and creative approaches.
* Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic student support.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or complex needs.
* A compassionate and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
* Strong classroom management skills with an emphasis on positive reinforcement.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
