This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2025.

We are looking for an individual with strong leadership skills to lead and motivate staff. The post holder will be solution-focused and have experience of working in a fostering service.
As a Senior Practitioner – Fostering Services, you will support the Registered Manager (RM) to lead and promote the Fostering Service, ensuring the growth of in-house Foster Carers, Supported Lodgings, and When I’m Ready provision through focused and targeted recruitment and retention activity. You will manage the operational activity of the Service, embedding best practice throughout and promoting professional standards by developing outcome-focused teams that understand their contribution to the Service and the wider success of the Through Age Wellbeing strategy.
You will be responsible for quality assurance of assessment and supporting the RM in reviewing a range of policies and procedures to enable you and the team to deliver a high standard of service to our carers.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with a Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification, with post-qualification experience of working as a social worker in Children’s Social Care, and who are registered with Social Care Wales.
