Who are we?
St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire’s specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.

What is the role?
As a Retail Driver, you will be required to service all stores, complete furniture deliveries and collections (heavy lifting is involved). You will be responsible for ensuring customer care, safe operations and safe working. Weekend (Saturday) work on a rota basis will be required. You will also be required to assist in warehouse operations, receiving and movement of goods. You will work alongside the Warehouse Manager, Shopping Outlet Manager and volunteer team.
What we expect of you?
* To drive hospice vehicles to and from the warehouse, peoples’ homes and the relevant shops
* You are required to manoeuvre donated furniture, including sofas, beds etc. from peoples’ homes, working to a high standard in a safe manner
* Drivers are expected to drive throughout Lanarkshire with stock and deliveries as required & have knowledge of local areas
* Basic vehicle maintenance
* Ability to write in logs / collect gift aid applications
