Are you passionate about guiding individuals on their career journey? Southport Education Group is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Careers Co-ordinator to join our Careers Service.
As a Careers Co-ordinator, you will be at the heart of our Matrix accredited Careers Service, offering high-quality Careers Education, Advice, and Guidance (CEAG) to learners across a variety of provisions, including 16-19 Study Programmes, Adult learners, and Apprenticeships. Your responsibilities will include:
* Acting as the central point for careers advice and guidance, conducting one-on-one impartial career interviews, and supporting students in small groups.
* Working with at-risk students, those unsure of their post-course destination, and those referred by Progress Tutors.
* Playing a key role in the planning and delivery of progression events such as HE Fairs, UCAS workshops, and special events tied to National Weeks like National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week.
About you
We are looking for someone with a Level 6 qualification in Careers Guidance (or the willingness to work towards this) and experience in delivering careers guidance or working as a Careers/IAG Advisor within a college, school, or higher education setting.
A strong understanding of the diverse educational opportunities available to young people leaving school and adults seeking to return to education will be essential.
