Job Title: Proposal Engineer
Location: Bradley Stoke
Pay Range/details: Up to £35,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Omega are supporting a worldwide leader in industrial fluid system manufacturing with their search for a Proposal Engineer to join their team in Bradley Stoke. As a proposal engineer you will be a key player in developing high quality, competitive proposals and bids for our customers in the engineering sector. The right candidate will also work closely with the applications engineer to work on a partly or fully developed concept design to develop it into a priced technical proposal following the company technical processes.
Key Responsibilities – Proposal Engineer
1. Determine customer requirements on each enquiry and create accurate proposals and estimates to meet customer needs within agreed timescales.
2. Support application engineers on complex system enquiries to generate a fully priced technical proposal following the company technical process.
3. Work closely with Customers and Business Development Managers to deliver accurate proposals to satisfy project requirements.
4. Due diligence of customer specifications and contractual requirements to ensure full SQS / ISO and legal compliance and to ensure all corporate policies are always adhered to.
5. Manage relationships with customers and 3rd party suppliers to meet requirements of projects specifications and drawings and provide clear quotations to grow and secure profitable future business.
6. Understanding and interpretation of customer and internal drawings and P&ID s to allow full pricing and development of a working solution.
7. Work in conjunction with internal and external associates to meet customer expectations always ensuring the highest level of customer service.
8. Support the technical team in the continuous improvement of departmental processes and customer service.
Qualifications & Requirements – Proposal Engineer
1. Experience in Internal sales, Estimating, or tender bid preparation.
2. HND in an Engineering discipline.
3. Technical skills related to fluid systems products.
4. Ability to understand customer technical application needs and develop appropriate technical solutions.
