Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters. As a Furniture and DIY Volunteer in our Sue Ryder charity shop in Ortongate Peterborough, you will support us in displaying, building, and selling furniture.
We have a busy furniture department and are fortunate with the amazing furniture donations we receive. We need Furniture and DIY volunteers who can help us weekly at the shop. This role includes moving furniture (note: heavy lifting involved), helping to display items in-store, and assisting customers who wish to buy them. For those with DIY skills, we also have a range of furniture that needs building each week, suitable for someone who can understand written instructions and has experience with building flat-pack items.
If you can help us for a few hours (or more!) each week, we would love to hear from you and offer you a taster session. Join us and become one of the store’s friendly faces who will help provide the best customer experience while playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.
