Plant Engineer to join a globally leading Chemical company based on one of their sites in the Blackpool area, on a permanent basis, for a salary of between £48,000 - £62,000 per annum. The Plant Engineer will support the Manufacturing Leader with the delivery of the production plan to ensure risks are assessed and impacts are identified and managed to ensure delivery to targets. You will act as technical expert for the operational area to include process assets, standard operating procedures and operating systems.
To be successful in this role as a Plant Engineer you will hold a good understanding and working knowledge of all processes, equipment and management systems, as well as holding a working knowledge of CI (Continuous Improvement) methodologies. The successful candidate with hold a degree in a relevant subject with either an Eng. Chemical or Process discipline being preferable.
Responsibilities of the Plant Engineer :
* As the Plant Engineer, you will drive SHE performance, coaching and influencing shift teams to achieve the value stream SHE strategy and objectives.
* You will identify deviations and triage for resolution through the use of root cause analysis (RCA). Deviations to include Accident/Incident Management (AIMS) events & corrective action reports (CAR's).
* The Plant Engineer will own OEE data and create mechanisms for operator engagement to ensure accurate data collection, detailed analysis and resolution, alongside undertaking technical evaluation within the production environment for all management of change submissions.
* You will be responsible for coaching shift teams on all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, costs, performance and supporting with customer complaints.
* Support the Manufacturing Leader in driving efficiencies in business-as-usual operations and identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities in the companies Management System to develop standardisation.
* Standardisation includes: Quality management processes and improvement plans, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and operating expenses (OPEX) management processes and improvement plans, operational system development and upskilling, lean workplace organisation, failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) process owner and develop standard operating process and root cause analysis methodologies
