About the role
We are looking for a Cleaning Operative Supervisor covering 22.5 hours a week to join us here at One Stop Head Office.
You will be responsible for:
* Supervise the team of cleaning operatives to ensure they are working safely and in line with Standard Operating Procedures and policies
* Ensure the team have the correct training, complete reviews and return to work interviews
* Attend meetings with line manager to ensure updates on business needs
* Attend business and team updates/meetings as required and cascade messages to the cleaning team
* Conduct Risk Assessments and Cleaning Task Plans
* Ensure that provided PPE is worn
* Complete daily/weekly tasks in line with Store Support Centre Cleaning Team Task Plans
* Manage your own workload, prioritise, and support your cleaning team colleagues' workload when necessary
* Ensure cleaning tasks are completed to pre-determined specifications and standards
* Maintain polite communication with colleagues and visitors
* Manage and control all consumable ordering of stock
* Ensure cleaning materials are safely stored and secured
* Vacuum and mop all areas
* Wash or wipe down furniture, fixtures, and fittings
* Clean kitchen surfaces and fridges
* Wipe down glass doors, door handles, panels and inside of windows, frames and sills
* Clean, mop and disinfect toilet areas, panels and tiles
* Empty and wipe down waste/recycling bins
* Transfer general waste, cardboard, plastics, recyclable items to segregated external bins
Skills & Experience I need:
* Experience in COSHH desired
* Experience with Microsoft Office/Outlook applications preferable
* Good understanding of health and safety
* Experience of balancing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to be flexible to provide cover for sickness/holiday
