About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an additional Principal Project & Account Manager (PPAM) with line management responsibilities to join our busy Commercial Services Team.
At a leadership level, this PPAM will have a deeper understanding of both member councils and associate members, and will support the Commercial & Projects Manager in the delivery of high quality, efficient and customer-focused approach across all aspects of our services. On an operational basis, they will primarily focus on associate members but will also retain engagement with a smaller number of council members. This will support the sustainability of the wider function.
This role will require an element of travel across Scotland.
Interviews will take place on 6th, 7th & 8th May 2025.
Key responsibilities
A key element of this role will be the requirement to support the Commercial & Projects Manager in identifying, developing and delivering sustainable opportunities, offering new services which meet customer needs and Scotland Excel’s financial targets.
Working collaboratively with the Commercial & Projects Manager, you will
* provide line management and leadership to the team
* lead the team on effective stakeholder management, building relationships at all levels across councils and associate members
* demonstrate the value of Scotland Excel membership, promote satisfaction, and maximise the uptake of new and existing service offerings
Ideally, you will have
* experience of supporting customers within a complex business environment with a high level of stakeholder management, gathering business and functional requirements to plan and deliver change projects
* effective influencing skills and the ability to initiate and maintain effective working relationship with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
* practical/operation experience in people management
