We’re looking for
a Nights Transport Planner to work Monday to Friday (2000-0600). This is for our shared user network based in Leigh – you’ll be planning specialist loads and palletised deliveries for the following day shift.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
1. Day-to-day you will be to looking to produce an efficient routes for multiple depots and maintain excellent levels of customer service
2. We’ll need you to have accurate management of scheduling and company costings with the objective of minimising operational costs and optimising efficiency – we’re always looking to improve
3. You will ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements and ensure compliance with Company Health and Safety requirements, highlighting any concerns to line management – ask us about our ‘Road to Zero’
4. Are you an ‘out-the-box’ thinker? We need you to be proactive in identifying and resolving any potential routing issues before they occur – can you find creative solutions for complex problems?
What you need to succeed at XPO:
5. If you have a background in general haulage or share user pallet networks this would be highly beneficial
6. Great communication skills, you’ll be cooperating with stakeholders throughout the network
7. Previous planning experience is essential for this role
