Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will:
* Supervise and oversee the installation of plumbing, pipefitting, heating, and ventilation systems.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
* Coordinate and manage a team of mechanical operatives and subcontractors on-site.
* Work closely with project managers to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
* Manage and oversee the delivery of materials and equipment to site.
* Provide technical guidance and support to the team when required.
* Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Prepare and maintain site documentation, including progress reports and risk assessments.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, Heating, or a related mechanical discipline.
* Proven experience supervising mechanical installations on large-scale projects in commercial, education, residential, or local authority sectors.
* Strong knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, heating, and ventilation systems.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* A solid understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
* The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
* A full UK driving license.
