Successful candidates will undergo constant continued professional and personal development and will be expected to attend additional external training to enhance their knowledge.
Successful candidate(s) will demonstrate:
1. Clear ability to perform at consistently high standards in a school environment;
2. Able to plan a range of innovative coaching sessions and programs;
3. Set up and deliver high quality sports provision to children and young people;
4. Knowledge of the school PE National Curriculum;
Qualifications:
1. Excellent knowledge and hold qualifications of sports coaching, which should include:
2. At least 1 Sports Specific qualification;
3. Able to pass an Enhanced DBS Check and be deemed safe to work with children;
4. Recognised NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate or above (Preferred);
5. Sports Degree or equivalent (Desirable);
6. Child Protection / Safeguarding Certificate (Desirable);
7. First Aid Certificate (Required);
8. 12 hour Pediatric first aid (Desirable);
Main Duties:
Delivering sport and physical activities to children and young people, mainly via after-school sports clubs.
Skills and Experience:
1. Have access to car and full driving license;
2. Computer Literate;
3. Reliable with strong time management;
4. Self-motivated and have a passion for teaching/coaching;
5. Experience and knowledge of working with children and young people;
6. Previous experience in a school environment preferable;
Location:
This job will be mainly based in primary school(s) around the Guildford & Woking area.
