The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential frontline reactive maintenance services to our site, swiftly identifying and addressing root causes to restore equipment to full operational status. You will also proactively seek and implement cost-effective improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of site assets and equipment.

Duties Include:
1. Carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance to agreed schedules.
2. Ensure effective handover of information across shifts.
3. Use PMS to support prioritisation and problem solving to diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment.
4. Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data.
5. Contact OEMs and other suppliers for technical support as and when required and expedite parts when not available on site.
6. Lead shift-based problem solving where corrective actions are not clear.
7. Work as ONE TEAM with other site functions to deliver the service, RFT agenda on a day-to-day basis.
8. Identify Improvements and implement with support of line manager.
9. Identify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendations.
10. Use and support simple 5WHY OE techniques/RCA techniques through to 100-year fix.
11. Use and support departmental programmes for workshops and stores workplace management.
12. Continuous transfer of knowledge and best practice.
This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. At least 2 years experience in engineering-based operational efficiency programmes.
2. Experience in a similar role supporting Site Strategy for Quality/HS/EMS/Engineering.
3. Experience supporting improvement activities/events within facilities and engineering owned areas.
4. Experience delivering on-the-job training to new colleagues.
5. NVQ Level 3 qualification - Mechanical and/or Electrical Bias.
6. “Train the Trainer” training.
7. Ability to generate and implement ideas to improve the business.
8. Active role in continuous improvement.
9. Piranna Systems Training (Desirable).
10. Operational measures OEM Training / Site specific equipment training (Desirable).
11. Generic HMI / SCADA/ Fieldbus/Drives & Instrumentation (Desirable).
12. Relevant Health & Safety Modules.
13. Escalation procedures SSOW Document Awareness.
14. Engineering Quality Induction.
15. Ability to work to deadlines.
16. Effective project management skills.
