The Role
We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a School supporting children aged between 11 and 18 years old. Working as part of an established team, the desired Trainee Teaching Assistant will be supporting children 1-1 or in small groups. This role will be Monday to Friday 8:30 – 15:30.
The School
This school in Bridgwater is a specialist school for children and young people with EHCP plans for Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs (SEMH) based in Bridgwater. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum with a strong emphasis on nurture and enrichment through small classes (maximum of 10 pupils ordinarily) each staffed with a Teacher and at least two Teaching Assistants.
Requirements
- Experience working with SEND children
- Have a caring and positive nature
- Be able to build positive relationships with children and young people
- Understand the crucial importance of keeping young people and children safe.
- Be willing to pay for a DBS check and register with the Update Service .

Salary
£12.86 to £13 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
