EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Working within our Waste Network department as a Capital Liaison Specialist (based out of Mansfield), your role will be supporting CCS and Waste Network Operations teams in the delivery of the AMP8 capital programmes across all types of CSO spill reduction and CSO improvement capital investment such as Major schemes, small schemes & blocks.
This role will be accountable for managing surveys, making operational and installation decisions on the correct improvement options relating to CSO design, asset enhancements, operational maintenance, and capital delivery during both the feasibility and design phase of projects.
The individual will be required to liaise and consult with key stakeholders within Waste Network Operations, Capital and Commercial Services, SMP & various other stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of the capital projects to an agreed programme.
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
1. Provide operational experience and knowledge to support the capital programme.
2. Ensure asset operation, maintenance, and TOTEX are consistent in the design process.
3. Help CCS design teams create practical and efficient TOTEX solutions.
4. Assist CCS teams in delivering efficient capital projects and programmes.
5. Represent operations in Area Investment Boards.
6. Collaborate with managers, CCS, and contractors to resolve design, maintenance, and operational challenges.
7. Support the development and approval of RAMS/R&C plans for accessing key assets.
8. Regularly update operational teams on capital programme progress, risks, and impacts.
9. Facilitate training and handover processes after project completion.
10. Support local capex boards in managing asset risks and budgets.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
1. Previous experience in the technical operation or maintenance of waste network assets.
2. Previous experience in waste network processes and operational improvement activities.
3. Project management skills associated with project delivery.
4. A good level of IT skills and an ability to produce technical documents.
5. SAP or other similar project management tools competency.
6. Great communication and stakeholder management skills.
7. Operational team management experience (desirable).
8. A full UK driving license is required for the role.
