Estimator, Glasgow, Salary from £40,000 to £46,000 per annum Company Vehicle, Company Pension Scheme & Private Healthcare Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop competitive, cost-effective tenders tailored to meet specific client needs. You will play a key role in the preparation and management of tenders, from initial receipt of documents through to final delivery, while also supporting project coordination and team management. Key Responsibilities: 80% Electrical Estimating: Produce accurate and detailed electrical estimates to support successful bids. 10% Material Ordering: Source and order materials required for projects. 10% Team Management: Oversee and coordinate electricians to ensure smooth project delivery. Attend client and site liaison meetings to maintain strong relationships and ensure project alignment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary bid team when required to deliver high-quality tenders. Coordinate workforce and materials to meet project deadlines and budgets. Skills & Qualifications: 3-5 years of electrical estimating experience within an electrical contracting background. Possession of an Approved or Technician SJIB grade card. In-depth knowledge of current IEE regulations. Valid CSCS site safety certificate. Strong understanding of the construction process. Previous estimating experience in Street Lighting and Electrical Engineering is advantageous. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong planning and organisational abilities to manage projects from award to completion.
