Job Title: Multi-skilled Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a Multiskilled Engineer who thrives on problem-solving and has a passion for continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment. As a Multiskilled Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining our production lines and ensuring that our high-quality products are produced efficiently.
Responsibilities
1. Complete planned maintenance inspections and condition reports in adherence to the site maintenance plan.
2. Optimize and adjust equipment during production to ensure seamless operations.
3. Set up new lines according to job specifications to produce top-quality products.
4. Identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to engineering R&D projects.
5. Conduct fault-finding on various types of machinery and provide support to the department in health and safety matters.
6. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop and implement ideas into production.
7. Plan and execute corrective and reactive work, minimizing production downtime.
8. Participate in new installations or refurbishments and contribute to the development of new ideas and processes.
Qualifications
1. Electrical and mechanical engineering qualification.
2. Proven experience in a similar process, production, or manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in fitting and ability to understand engineering drawings.
4. Experience working as part of an engineering team.
5. Familiarity with working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters, along with fault-finding skills and logical problem-solving abilities.
6. Knowledge of PLCs.
7. Desirable: Knowledge of 3D design software and 3D printing.
Day-to-Day
The working hours for this role are 05:45 - 14:15 or 13:45 - 22:15, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.
23 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
Salary: £45,000 (DOE)
