Job details Contract type: Full Time / Permanent Reporting to: Headteacher/Deputy Head Salary: £27255.90 p/a Main purpose The Pastoral Lead, under the direction of the Headteacher and Deputy Head, will take a major role in: Developing and monitoring pastoral support across the school and post 16 Working alongside the PSHE lead to support health and wellbeing Liaising both within the school/college and with outside agencies to ensure a tailored programme of support Supporting the accuracy and rigour of information in helping track and assess the welfare of students Liaising with parents and carers and third parties on day-to-day information Recognising pastoral areas for improvements and implementing improvement strategies Offering high quality support to students Being approachable to students at all times Assisting with maintaining high standards Requirements: Qualifications and training Teaching Assistant Level 4 or equivalent Experience Experience of working with students with complex needs (Desirable) Skills and knowledge ICT knowledge (Essential) Total Communication Approach/ Autism (Desirable) Personal qualities A commitment to getting the best outcomes for all students A commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the school Ability to work as part of a team Commitment to maintaining confidentiality Commitment to safeguarding and equality
