Job summary
This role will be required to undertake the installation,commission, maintenance, service and repair of a full range of mechanical engineeringrelated such as LTHW installations, ventilation plant, domestic hot watersystems, drainage and general mechanical machinery. The works will be carriedout within properties maintained by CHoICE Facilities Services (CFS) across theSunderland and South Tyneside region. The role will witness a primary focuspredominantly on mechanical works, however the post holder may be required todiversify into other engineering and building trades.
The post holder will be predominantly based at SouthTyneside Hospital, NE34 0PL.
Furthermore, the post holder will provide a CompetentPerson lead technical role within the Department to undertake supervisory/guidanceduties of other direct employed labour force and at times this may includecontractors.
The post holder will also be required to participate in thecurrent shift pattern/system, current on-call rota and undertake overtime whenthe service needs dictate for which appropriate payments will be made.
Experience dependent, the expected range of earnings forthis role is between £31,976 - £38,926 however recent employees within thisrole have earned around £42k due to overtime and on-call payments.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Basic numeracy & literacy skills to level 1 or equivalent
2. Basic IT Skills
3. BTEC/ONC, City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 or equivalent in suitable engineering related discipline
4. Completion of recognised and accredited apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline
5. Completion of specialist engineering related training via formulised training or suitable experience.
Desirable
6. City & Guilds Quarterly testing of large porous load sterilisers
7. City & Guilds Quarterly Testing of Washers Disinfectors
8. Legionella Management Competent person certificate
9. HVAC Competent Person Certificate

10. Knowledge and experience of Mechanical, Electrical and
