An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our fun, dedicated buying team on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and will have an evident enthusiasm for the fashion industry, particularly the use of natural fibers.
Working across product areas, you will gain hands-on experience with essential knowledge that will help kick start your Buying career!
Key Responsibilities
1. Load new styles to the company system with accuracy.
2. Work closely with the Assistant Buyer to manage the critical path, a vital tool in the department.
3. Chase down submissions, samples, and deliveries in line with critical path dates, highlighting any concerns to the wider team.
4. Ensure all Lab dip and bulk submissions are organised and neatly filed.
5. Organise samples for our weekly fit meetings, liaising with the Garment Technologist.
6. Attend the weekly fit meeting, taking notes and updating the merchandising team on sample approvals.
7. Prepare and maintain all department documentation e.g., Critical path, Intake tracker, Range plan, and buy sheet.
8. Prepare range rails for meetings (Lessons learned, pagination & sign-offs).
9. Pull together best sellers’ sheets & intake for Monday Trade meeting.
10. Load product bullet points and measurements to the system in preparation for the product going live online.
11. Request Photo samples from suppliers, chasing in for specific deadlines.
12. Keep sample rails and archives in working order, clearing out and organising sample sales when necessary.
13. Conduct regular competitive shopping and competitor analysis to develop your knowledge and report findings back to the team.
14. Complete any other ad hoc administrative duties to provide full support to the Buying team.
