Job Description:
Young Persons Clinical Psychologist
BACP Accredited / NCS Accredited membership
Nationwide – remote
Salary: Up to £60,000 based on FT hours. Part-time hours also available pro rata.
Type: Permanent
Purpose: The Young Persons Clinical/Counselling Psychologist role will provide high quality, safe and effective talking therapy support to Bupa customers aged between 11 to 17 years old.
The role will involve the following:
1. Provide high-quality therapeutic care to children and adolescents, demonstrating excellent clinical outcomes.
2. Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention.
3. Provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference.
4. Communicate effectively to share information with key agencies and systems around the child.
5. Adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
6. Adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance.
7. Adhere to local and national policies and guidance on safeguarding children and adults.
8. Provide risk assessment and management planning with support from the senior clinical leadership team.
9. Provide signposting or onward referral as required.
10. Provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as required.
11. Provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations when required.
12. Work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation and promote mental wellbeing guidance.
13. Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
14. Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings to support clinical practice.
15. Work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.
Qualifications & Training:
1. Professional doctorate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society.
2. Health and Care Professions Council registration as a qualified Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
3. General child and adolescent mental health experience.
4. At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience working with children and/or adolescents.
5. Training and accreditation in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological relevance.
6. Excellent leadership and management skills.

4. IT Skills including proficiency in Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems.
