Harris Global are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to join a roofing client on an initial 10-week contract in Edinburgh. The successful candidate must have a background of working on Roofing projects.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all works being carried out by Subcontractors will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and all relevant statutory provisions prescribed in Schedule 1 of the Act and this Policy.
* Actively promote a high standard of Health, Safety and Welfare on site and ensure compliance with all relevant statutory provisions.
* Carry out audits/inspections (HS41b/SC39/SC40/SC50 and SC06) of your workplace and rectify any deficiencies or report them to your CM or line manager if you cannot deal with them yourself.
* On site, always dress in company livery, PPE, and ID Badge.
* Actively monitor and update our online portal with all relevant daily activities.
* Ensure site SHEQ file is up to date and reviewed weekly.
* Review Health and Safety Plans/RAMS, Documentation in line with our Arrangements for Health and Safety and agree with Contract Managers prior to works commencing. Adapt/update documentation as required.
* Ensure subcontractors work to the RAMS and if methodology of these change, are reviewed, assessed, and revised accordingly, followed by approval from HS59 from the CM.
* Ensure the Portal is utilised and updated for your job.
* Improve on-site communication with operatives, CM, and line manager.
* Carry out service reviews with the customer or his site representative as directed and provide feedback to the Customer Service Facilitator. Ensure operatives are carrying out IPAD reviews on smaller works contracts.
* Provide the highest levels of service when dealing with customers and fully adopt the company's Guiding Principles and procedures within our system for service.
* Conduct positive dialogue with customer teams keeping them fully appraised of project progress, events, and their significance.
