We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Rye Hill, a category BPrison located in Rugby.
HMP Rye Hill has a capacity of 660males after 18+.
Hours:
This is a permanent role based on hours per week Monday - Sunday. 8am - 6pm covering various shifts
Salary
This position is fulltime, youll receive an annual salary up to £44,per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will
7. Work within a multi-disciplinary team carrying out comprehensive assessments, initiating and reviewing care plans, and developing treatment options
8. Undertake medication rounds, and assess and treat patients who may have undergone traumatic experiences and may be distressed
9. Assess patients health needs using an evidence based framework and be able to risk assess use sound clinical knowledge
10. You will work with individuals providing advice, support and information and manage a case load of patients.
11. Deliver non-judgemental care that makes a real difference
12. You will monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects liaising with prescribers as required.
13. Inspire excellence by forging strong links with our partners and stakeholders
14. Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence based care
15. Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi-disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job.

Qualifications required:
23. Qualified Mental Health Nurse - NMC registration
24. Evidence of Continued Professional Development
25. Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
26. Experience of psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
