Assistant Accountant Woking - 3-month contract
Our client is an established company in Woking, seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented accountant with experience in Xero and preparing financial information for audits. This role involves managing primary ledgers and ensuring the smooth handling of financial data, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Timely management of data entry into Sales ledger & Purchase ledger
2. Supplier statement reconciliation and prompt query resolution
3. Intercompany account reconciliations
4. Bank reconciliations using accounting software
5. Assist in payment preparation and uploading AP invoice copies to the accounting platform
6. Maintain accurate online filing of Bank statements, Invoices and Audit Preparation Documents
7. VAT entry into accounting software
8. Assist in developing financial systems, processes, and controls to improve operational efficiency
Requirements:
1. Part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant
2. Knowledgeable in accounting practices and principles
3. High level of attention to detail
4. Experience with Xero accounting software is desirable
5. Willingness to build positive working relationships with key stakeholders
Salary Band of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum has been set by Fletcher George as a guide and will be dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
