This role is GCC based We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director for our Education Fund, who will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and growth of our education-focused investment portfolio. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, education sector investments, and the ability to drive the fund’s mission to make impactful investments in education-related initiatives. This role demands leadership, operational expertise, and a strong network within the education sector. Key Responsibilities: Fund Management: Lead the overall strategy, development, and management of the education fund’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with the fund’s objectives, risk appetite, and financial targets. Investment Strategy: Formulate and implement investment strategies in the education sector, focusing on opportunities that align with both financial and social impact goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, government bodies, education providers, and philanthropic organizations. Fundraising and Capital Raising: Lead fundraising initiatives, including identifying new investors, cultivating relationships with existing ones, and overseeing capital deployment. Due Diligence and Deal Execution: Oversee due diligence processes for potential investments, including evaluating educational programs, institutions, ed-tech startups, and impact initiatives. Financial Oversight: Manage the financial performance of the portfolio, ensuring adequate returns while minimizing risk. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for the board and stakeholders. Policy and Compliance: Ensure that all investments and operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and adhere to ethical investment guidelines. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of analysts and associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Impact Measurement: Develop and implement strategies to measure and report on the social and educational impact of the fund’s investments. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Education, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in investment management, with a focus on the education sector, philanthropy, or social impact investing. Proven experience in managing and scaling investment funds, including fundraising, deal sourcing, and portfolio management. Deep understanding of the education landscape, including trends in educational technology, K-12, higher education, and vocational training. Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and valuation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and work with various stakeholders in the education and finance sectors. Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and guide a team.
