The role:
Develop and execute PPM and TPM system to ensure zero stoppages.
Deal with breakdowns and servicing of plant and equipment.
Improve process stability.
Ensure adequate parts/supplies are available for maintenance activities.
Direct and develop improvers within the department.
Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment.
Read mechanical, electrical, and fluid drawings.
Perform general day-to-day maintenance activities.
Lead and participate in problem-solving activities.
Comply with company rules, procedures, and Quality, Environmental, H&S legislation.
Follow all department procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain a high standard of 5S.
Consistently seek improvements within the department and record all enhancements.
Perform any other duties as requested to support the growth of the business.
The person:
Mechanical/Electrical qualifications to HNC or equivalent. City and Guilds considered if a good level of multi-skilling is displayed.
Responsible for ensuring unplanned stops of production facilities are kept to a minimum by effective maintenance of plant and equipment. Proactively engineer out process and machine failure modes. Provide excellent customer service to the production department.
Experience/Skills:
Maintenance professional with H&S knowledge including risk assessments. Experience of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible, loyal, committed, proactive, attention to detail, thorough, punctual, reliable.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Problem-solving abilities, verbal and numerical skills, drawing interpretation, PLC knowledge, and robotics experience.
Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Office.
