Contract:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy
Paediatric OT Experience
Paediatric experience
Experience working within a specialist Worked within and SEN paediatric setting
Experiencing completing assessments for Education, Health, and Care plans
Specialist CPD and/or training
The Paediatric Occupational Therapist plays a pivotal role in assessing the needs of a variety of students for Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and providing targeted and specialist interventions to support their development. Additionally, the role involves training and upskilling teaching staff to effectively support students' occupational therapy goals.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' sensory, motor, and self-care skills to determine eligibility for Occupational Therapy provision within their EHCP.
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' educational plans and learning environment.
Provide ongoing monitoring and evaluation of intervention effectiveness, adjusting plans as necessary to optimise outcomes.
Conduct training and support to teaching staff on strategies and techniques to promote students' functional skills and independence within the classroom setting.
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, case notes, annual review reports and intervention plans in accordance with regulatory standards and LCP policies.
Primarily school-based with opportunity to work within the clinic setting.
Flexible working hours. ty in scheduling to accommodate students' and school's needs within school hours with time to complete administration and preparation for the next working day after school finishes.
