As a Fitness Manager at Lampton Leisure, you will be responsible for the day to day running of fitness department and fitness team, ensuring a safe, enjoyable and quality customer experience as well as conducting at least 2 duty manager shifts a week. You will also be responsible for proactively managing the teams’ performance, setting targets and providing constructive feedback to both develop and support the team to operate to our high standards.
As a Fitness Manager you will be a key holder for the building and therefore, will be responsible for opening and closing the site whilst on key holder shifts. Our sites are open from 6am - 10pm so flexibility with working hours is required.
Key Responsibilities include:
Ensure Lampton are delivering an exceptional fitness experience for our members, bringing our fitness equipment to life and ensuring we have the right expertise to support this Duty Manager duties, such as opening and closing the site, dealing with any H&S incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns and perform pool hygiene & safety checks whilst on shift. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers, handling, and escalating complaints where appropriate Continuously review fitness equipment, programmes and activities, developing and improving as required. Accountable for the fitness budget, stock takes and inventories Supporting the centre to achieve targets and fitness KPIs. Provide clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements, fixing or escalating issues as appropriate. Line management, coaching and developing responsibilities for the fitness team, ensuring the team are up to date with the latest developments within the fitness industry and the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience experience working as a Fitness Manager, with the ability to mentor, motivate, coach and develop team members to achieve their potential, meet set targets and deadlines, and be ro-active in your duties.
Excellent communication skills and experience delivering first class customer service is also essential. Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check & reference checks.
Qualifications Required
Be a minimum of Level 2 fitness qualified or equivalent Ideally hold or work towards a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) Ideally hold or work towards a First Aid at Work Qualification
