PS Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our client, who is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join their team based in North Walsham on a full-time permanent basis. Role Summary: To support the quality manager and quality team in achieving adherence to the quality standards of the company, according to legislation and procedures. Supporting production with training of operatives in quality standards and procedures. Active involvement in the drive for change and continuous improvement. This role is key to the companies’ achievement of World Class Manufacturing and a ‘zero defects’ culture. Main Responsibilities: Performance testing of current products, to ensure adherence to specification. Measurement analysis using all facilities available and transferring data to spreadsheets. Induction training of quality & hygiene modules. Operator quality training for grades OP1 & OP2. Supporting operator development and knowledge. Production audits to quality standards. “Q00” quarantine controls and corrective actions. Support the investigation, RC & CAPA for external and internal Non-Conformances. Support external audits. Maintenance & upkeep of Quality Retention samples & system. Active involvement in promoting a proactive Quality & Safety Culture to the site. Ensures equipment is well maintained and any concerns are resolved/ escalated in a timely manner. Qualifications and Experience: GCSE English and Maths essential or equivalent level. Educated to A-Level standard (desirable). Six Sigma Green Belt Status (desirable). Experience of working within Quality essential, within a FMCG environment preferable. SPC understanding. To have experience of ISO9000 quality management system requirements and to have worked within the criteria (desirable). To have experience of BRCGS system requirements and to have worked within the criteria (desirable). Experience in training of others essential, qualifications desirable. Person Specification: IT literate to include MS Office is essential. Good organisation skills with attention to detail. Good Communication skills at all levels of the business. Ability to work in wider teams to ensure business strategies are met. Capability to meet goals/objectives. Ability to respond flexibly to business pressures. Ability to work under pressure and achieve target deadlines. Capable and willing to promote a Quality & CI culture. Accuracy and attention to detail. Working hours: Monday – Friday 14:00 – 22:00 (37-hour week). Training Hours: 8:00 – 17:00 for the first two months. 33 days holiday.
