About the Role
As a Payroll Assistant at Cranswick PLC, you will play a vital role in the end-to-end processing of payroll for thousands of employees across our UK locations. You will assist in managing payroll records, processing changes, and supporting pension administration. Your attention to detail will ensure compliance with payroll audit requirements and timely third-party payments. Collaborating with HR, Finance, and other departments, you will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll operations while helping maintain a positive employee experience. This position offers the opportunity to develop your payroll expertise within a supportive and dynamic team environment.
What We Are Looking For:
1. Experience: 4 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience (preferred)
2. Knowledge: Familiarity with employment taxes, pension auto-enrolment, and payroll legislation.
3. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
4. Organisation: Excellent organisational and planning skills to meet monthly deadlines.
5. Technical Proficiency : Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; experience with People XD is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
6. Adaptability: Ability to handle payroll projects and initiatives, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to payroll auditing and record-keeping.
