About the Role Our client’s Court of Protection Property and Finance Team are experts in providing tailored legal advice and support to individuals with diminished mental capacity. The team takes pride in their empathetic, client-focused approach, ensuring that clients’ best interests are protected while delivering expert legal services in: Deputyship applications Statutory wills Statutory gifting Property and financial affairs management In this role, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for clients. You will support the Senior Solicitor on complex deputyship matters while also managing your own caseload, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and build your expertise at a steady and structured pace. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing deputyships and financial affairs for individuals under the Court of Protection. Work closely with vulnerable clients and their families, offering clear, compassionate legal advice. Collaborate with medical professionals, social workers, and other specialists to ensure the best outcomes for clients. Develop expertise in Court of Protection matters while receiving mentoring and ongoing training. Manage your own caseload with support from senior team members. Who We Are Looking For We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Solicitors or Legal Executives with a strong interest in Court of Protection work. We would also be happy to consider candidates with experience in Private Client, Property, or Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence who are keen to specialise in this area. The ideal candidate will: Be calm under pressure with a proactive and detail-oriented approach. Have strong numeracy skills and be comfortable handling budgets and financial accounts. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with vulnerable clients and their families.
