Are you a site planner with experience in UK manufacturing? I am working with one of the biggest producers of loved snacks in the UK looking for a site planner to cover a 12 month fixed term contract in Brigg, north Lincolnshire. You will need to have previous experience in FMCG, logistics or food manufacturing planning, managing and optimising the internal supply chain. No day will be the same within this role and you will need to be highly organised and have a passion for working as part of a larger team to ensure smooth running within the plant. Food manufacturing experience is preferable but not essential and you will need to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of health and safety and quality standards to maintain and exceed site expectations. You will be covering a 12 month fixed term contract and report to the site manager. This is an office based role Monday - Friday. The role as a Site Planner: Line Scheduling: Translate supply plan to daily weekly plan. Refining of production schedules through the exceptions process based on full Supply Chain information. Working as an integral part of the team to optimise Supply Chain. Analyse manufacturing KPI's to identify and report performance gaps. Provide input to AOP and iS & OP process. Facilitate performance reviews with Manufacturing and Supply Planning to challenge & influence. Lead Move planning to optimize materials move. Accountable for Move supply issue resolution. Create materials purchase orders. Accountable for timely factory stock update including goods receipts, zero line side stock. Keep up-to-date Materials data base, Supply Chain Master Data. Weekly reviews with the Factory change manager to anticipate/monitor long lead time of materials supply. Support site projects. Reporting & Control: Follow-up and feedback to Supply Chain Manager on Supplier performance. Ensure all site specific quality, housekeeping and hygiene standards are achieved or exceeded. Skills and qualities needed for this Site Planner role: Previous experience in a similar role is essential Food manufacturing/ logistics or FMCG background Attention to detail Highly organised Ability to communicate to all levels within the business (verbally and written) Pragmatic, solutions focused approach backed by strong analytical skills. Self-motivating - able to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
